Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation hosts first ever ‘Holiday Blitz’ at Berg Auditorium

– The Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation invites the public to enjoy the first ever Holiday Party Art & Craft Fair on Sat., Dec. 17, from 2-5 p.m. at PRYAF’s Berg Auditorium, located at 3201 Spring St. in Paso Robles. Everyone is welcome to experience holiday cheer and the magic of PRYAF while finishing last minute shopping for handmade gifts by local vendors. Vendor spaces are still available.

The community has come to know PRYAF as a magical place for so many students who follow their artistic journeys through dance, theater, art and music as they grow from 5-18 years old. With the holidays upon us, PRYAF is even more magical.

PRYAF’s Holiday Party Art & Craft Fair will feature fine art and craft vendors, hot chocolate and goodies, a visit by Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus (available for pictures) and a fabulous student showcase on PRYAF’s very own stage.

Meet the families, staff and volunteers that work tirelessly to provide free visual & performing arts classes for over 400-area youth each quarter. Learn about how you can support the organization and about the wonderful opportunity that PRYAF offers students.paso-robles-youth-arts-classes

“We have a very talented, experienced staff of administrators and instructors — many of whom are professional artists themselves — who provide instruction in a wide variety of classes in art, dance, voice, theater, music, and more,” says Mindy Dierks-Sisemore, PRYAF Executive Director.  “We also have state-of-the-art instruments and equipment, and a fantastic facility that provides a safe and clean learning environment. All of this is provided at absolutely no cost to the children, or their parents,”“We rely entirely on donations, public and private funding, and support from the community through events like this.”

Please consider an end-of-year gift to Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation. If you cannot attend the event, you can still show your support by sponsoring a child. Please visit www.PRYAF.org and click the ‘Donate’ button to make a credit card donation through PayPal’s secure website. $250 sponsors one child for a year.

PRYAF is celebrating its 15th year serving the local community and has provided free art instruction to thousands of students in the greater community. When recent statewide budget cuts forced local schools to reduce or altogether eliminate their arts programs, PRYAF increased the number of classes they offered in order to help fill the void.

“What’s amazing to me is that I still run into people on a regular basis who’ve lived in the area for a long time but have never heard of PRYAF before,” says Dierks-Sisemore. “They are just now learning about us and want to know how they can get involved and what they can do to help. Throughout the years, we’ve provided a great service to the community and in return the community has really embraced us and allowed us to be successful. I’m really excited for what the next 15 years will bring.”
