Youth soccer team holds community car wash
B17 team is made up of 7- and 8-year-old players from across North County
– The Central Coast Surf Boys 2017 (B17) soccer team will host a community car wash fundraiser on July 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fortress Custom Crush, located at 3090 Anderson Road in Paso Robles. Proceeds will support uniforms, league fees, and equipment for the team’s first official outdoor season.
Tacos from Órale Taqueria will be available for purchase at the event, with all food sales benefiting the team.
The B17 team is made up of 7- and 8-year-old players from across North County. It is the youngest team in the Central Coast Surf Soccer Club and is entering its first club soccer season.
“These boys come together not just to play soccer, but to grow as teammates, leaders, and kids with big dreams,” said head coach Evett Lopez. “With every practice, game, and even this fundraiser, they’re learning hard work, resilience, responsibility, and what it means to show up for each other—and for their community.”
In addition to the fundraiser, the team is seeking corporate sponsorships to support the season. Businesses interested in making a tax-deductible donation can visit https://bit.ly/B17Surf to get in touch.
