Zoo Boo returns Oct. 24 and 25

– The City of Atascadero and the Central Coast Zoo will host Zoo Boo on Oct. 24 and Oct. 25 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the zoo in Atascadero.
The annual event will feature Halloween decorations throughout the zoo, carnival games, Halloween activities, a haunted maze, live music, costume contests and trick-or-treating. DJ Andy Morris will perform on Friday and DJ Medina Light Show Designs will perform on Saturday.
Costume contests will be held for children and families. Guidelines recommend costumes that are not violent or scary, with no costume weapons. Adults are not permitted to wear masks. Costumes should be appropriate for small children.
The zoo is home to red pandas, monkeys, meerkats, parrots, reptiles, and other animals.
Tickets are $16 per person for general admission and $15 for zoo members. Children 2 and under are admitted free. Tickets are available at visitatascadero.com/zooboo.
