Tin City fast becoming ‘Go To’ tasting destination–Bret Urness, winemaker and “jack of all trades” for his fledgling label, Levo, has opened a tasting room in Tin City, at Marquita Crossing, in Paso Robles.

Urness had a “soft opening” the end of October, and now is open on a regular basis, Friday through Sunday, noon until 5 p.m. Urness also offers private tastings: “If Friday through Sunday doesn’t work for you, please call ahead. I’m here practically all the time, and pleased to open up and taste with you during the week.”
This genial Garagiste, currently producing under 1000 cases, is one of many young, cutting-edge winemakers who have taken up residence in the burgeoning Tin City tasting complex in Paso Robles.
The new area includes ONX, Brian Benson, Aaron Wines, Clos Solene, and Jacob Toft, to name a few.
These winemakers are making their mark on the Central California Coast wine scene. Tin City is fast becoming a “go to” mini tasting destination in Paso Robles.
There are currently six selections being poured for a $10 tasting fee (waived with a one bottle purchase). On only his second release, Urness has received praise and 90+ point scores on several wines from Josh Raynolds of Antonio Galloni’s Vinous Media.
Bret describes himself as a “grape babysitter,” seeing his “job” as nurturing the vine from grape to glass… to reflect its natural terroir and characteristics. Visit Levo and the other Tin City tasting rooms soon.

I just recently found out about "TIN CITY" What a great local name! The Brew House as well as many other brewerys and wine makers have taken over what was probably built to house small industrial operations! Love it, Only in Paso Robles!!!!
