Letter: We are making the homeless too comfortable
To the editor,
This is in response to the visitor from Hawaii commenting on the homeless people hanging out in our downtown park. I totally agree with her sad assessment of the situation. We are making them too comfortable, feeding them, and now planning on building a shelter for them. I hate to sound hardhearted, but one of them broke into our home and stole precious and valuable items to spend on their drugs. Let’s make them less comfortable here, and maybe they will move on to a different place.
