Paso Robles High School hires new principal

Eric Martinez has been hired as the principal of Paso Robles High School.

–The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees recently approved the hiring of the new Paso Robles High School Principal Eric Martinez.

Martinez has worked with students and teachers in multiple capacities for the last 17 years. In addition to being a classroom teacher and a high school administrator, he has worked as a noontime assistant (campus safety), curriculum coach, and an athletic coach. Currently, Martinez is serving as a vice principal at his alma mater, Bullard High School in Fresno. His post-secondary education includes graduating from UCSB where he majored in psychology and earned a minor in educational studies. He later completed his teaching credential and master’s degree in educational leadership at CSU Fresno.

During his free time, Martinez says he enjoys spending quality time and traveling with his wife Eliana. His hobbies include playing golf and being active outdoors.

Former Paso Robles High School principal Randy Nelson announced his resignation in October of 2015. Director of Secondary Education Jennifer Gaviola has been serving as interim principal.
