Seven arrested in heroin bust
Month-long heroin investigation ends in arrests
The Paso Robles Police Department Special Enforcement Team culminated a month long narcotic sales investigation with the seizure of $2,770 in cash, $1,000 worth of Black Tar Heroin, and the arrest of seven people.
On Saturday, July 27, 2013 at about 7 a.m. detectives served a search warrant at a residence along the 100 block of Pioneer Trail Drive, Paso Robles. As a result of the search warrant, Detectives seized 15 grams of heroin, drug paraphernalia, and $2,770 in cash.
Seven people were arrested as a result of the investigation:
• Aaron Charlton, DOB 07-09-84, of Paso Robles for possession of Heroin for Sale (felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (misdemeanor),
• David Whittaker, DOB 07-06-93, of Paso Robles for Possession of Heroin (felony), Child Endangerment (felony), and several warrants.
• Chad McCullough, DOB 03-20-85 of Paso Robles for possession of Heroin for Sale (felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (misdemeanor), and several warrants.
• Kateen Setting, DOB 12-01-94, (18) of Paso Robles for child endangerment (felony), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (misdemeanor).
• Justine Grogan, DOB 10-26-86, of Paso Robles for Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance (misdemeanor), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (misdemeanor).
• Christopher Bellamy, DOB 02-13-82, of Paso Robles for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (misdemeanor)
• Amanda Hutton, DOB 01-05-92, of Paso Robles for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (misdemeanor) – No Picture Available
A one year old child was present when the search warrant was served by detectives. Child Welfare Services was notified of the incident and a social worker responded to help with the investigation. As a result of the investigation the child was taken into protective custody.
