19 arrested in North County probation sweep
Paso Robles police and and San Luis Obispo County workers were on scene at this Montebello Oaks Drive home Thursday afternoon. Police had residents stand outside the home during the visit.
61 contacted, 19 arrested in massive probation action
Officers seize firearm, weapons, methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana
San Luis Obispo County Probation Department and local law enforcement arrested 19 individuals for probation or parole violations and new criminal charges Thursday in a massive probation sweep throughout North County.
At about 6 p.m. on July 19, 2013, law enforcement personnel contacted individuals on probation and parole in northern San Luis Obispo’s County including the cities of Paso Robles and Atascadero, as well as the unincorporated areas of Templeton and San Miguel.
As a result of the multi-agency compliance operation, 61 subjects were contacted, 19 subjects were arrested for probation/parole violations or new criminal charges. There were also 42 subjects found to be in compliance with court ordered terms and conditions of probation.
Officers confiscated a firearm, other weapons, small quantity of methamphetamine, heroin and marijuana, drug paraphernalia, possible evidence of narcotic sales and gang indicia. Child protective services responded to one location to assist with a contact that involved drug exposure of two children.
The county probation department partnered with Paso Robles Police Department, Atascadero Police Department, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department, California Highway Patrol, Atascadero State Hospital Police, Homeland Security, City of Paso Robles Code Enforcement, San Luis Obispo County Gang Task Force and the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit to conduct a probation and parole compliance operation.
All arrestees were transported to the San Luis Obispo County Jail or the San Luis Obispo County Juvenile Hall for booking.
